Happy New Year!
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of you for your support last year.
I hope this year will be another happy year for everyone.
Now, in our Mori household, we have an annual schedule.
New Year's Day: Visiting family
2nd: First visit to Ishikiri Shrine
Day 3: Shopping at the mall
There are some places I can't go to depending on the year, but there are no trips or big events.
This is Kashiba City, Nara Prefecture, and if you walk a little further you will find a large shrine.
However, after my eldest daughter became seriously ill four years ago, I began visiting Ishikiri Shrine to pray for her recovery.
but
On the 2nd, after going out to eat in the car, my eldest daughter fell ill on the way to Ishikiri Shrine.
The eldest daughter said, "I'll sleep at home, so you all go."
I had no choice but to drop my eldest daughter off at home and then go to Ishikiri Shrine.
We left Nara just before 2pm, but the roads around Ishikiri Shrine were extremely congested!
We arrived at the parking lot at 5pm, which was three times longer than usual.
I somehow managed to finish my prayers and hurried back home to where my eldest daughter was waiting for me.
The next day, my eldest daughter, who was feeling better, muttered, "I wanted to go too," so we decided to go to Kashihara Shrine for the first time as a family!
Large shrines do have a certain dignity to them, and the atmosphere seems different too.
There were an incredible number of food stalls set up, far more than you would expect from a small shrine.
After successfully completing our visit, we took a commemorative photo.
So, it was a typical New Year's celebration in our house.
This year, we prayed for everyone to be healthy.
What did you all pray for?
Well, this year too, we will do our best as a family.
Thank you for your support this year!
